Botanical Study: Mountain Laurel

 Kalmia latifolia, which is commonly called Mountain Laurel or Spoonwood grows in the Eastern United States and is in the Blueberry Family. It is usually found in mountainous forests and rocky slopes. Mountain Laurel blooms in June and July.
