Botanical Study: Clematis



















Clematis is sometimes also called Traveler's Joy or Old Man's Beard. These are climbing plants and are great for trellises, gates and porches.There are over 200 species of Clematis and they come in a wide range of colors including blues, pinks, purples and white. These grow mostly in the North America and China and flower from spring to late fall. Clematis are used in Chinese medicine to treat skin irritation and as an anti-inflammatory.
